The GSCO Youth 3 is a hunting milestone for young hunter conservationists.
The Youth 3 is achieved by legally harvesting at least one species from each of the GSCO Youth 3 categories:
ANTLER, HORN AND PREDATOR.
The species for ANTLER include: any deer, caribou, elk or moose from the GSCO Super Slam list.
The species for HORN include: any North American wild sheep, the North American mountain goat, pronghorn antelope,
bison and muskox from the GSCO Super Slam list. For the GSCO Youth 3, GSCO has added the aoudad to the HORN category.
The species for PREDATOR include: the mountain lion and any bear from the GSCO Super Slam list. For the GSCO Youth 3,
GSCO has also added the wolf, coyote, bobcat, lynx, and alligator to the PREDATOR category.
Any youth, currently 18 years of age or younger, who is a current member of Grand Slam Club/Ovis (GSCO) or whose parent or legal guardian is a current member of GSCO may enter.
Submissions must be a legally taken species from the GSCO Youth 3 list.
The GSCO Youth 3 must be officially documented with Grand Slam Club/Ovis.
The youth hunter applicant must be 18 years of age or younger at the time of documenting the GSCO Youth 3.
Though optional, along with their applications, GSCO encourages all youth hunter applicants to submit a brief hunt report on their species harvested so their stories may be featured in SLAM QUEST magazine.
To apply, provide all requested information, along with a field photo of each species, the GSCO parental consent form by mail or email to Grand Slam Club/Ovis
Each year, beginning in 2021, those youth hunters achieving the GSCO Youth 3 milestone will be invited to the GSCO Youth 3 Awards presentation at the annual GSCO Hunter & Outfitter Convention. Attendees will receive a free GSCO Youth 3 tee shirt and ONE complimentary entry ticket into the GSCO Youth 3 Drawings – three separate hunt drawings held at the convention!
Once again the Youth 3 is a hunting milestone for young hunter conservationist. To qualify for the GSCO Youth 3, one must be currently 18 years of age or younger at the time of documenting the GSCO youth hunter milestone. The applicant must also be a current member of Grand Slam Club Ovis OR whose parent or legal guardian is a current member. The young hunter applicant needs ONLY ONE species from EACH of the three categories (Antler, Horn and Predator) listed in the application form. It is not necessary to have completed a Youth 3 milestone to participate. A young hunter may submit their first and/or second trophies with the official consent form to began the documentation process with GSCO.
