GSCO Canada

Grand Slam Club/Ovis-Canada has now been established as a chapter of Grand Slam Club/Ovis. It has been incorporated as a Charitable Organization, thus giving the tax benefits to Canadians similar to the tax benefits available to US citizens with GSCO.

Brian Hauck, is the executive director and also on the GSCO board of directors. The other board members are Jason Price, executive director of GSCO; Denise Soroka; and Daryll Hosker. Denise and Daryll have been strong GSCO members for many years.

All Canadian members of GSCO are automatically members of GSCO Canada and will be eligible for the taxable benefits for donations and auction purchases that are channeled through GSCO Canada. All four of the director positions are voluntary and most office activity will be done by the GSCO staff in Birmingham, thus incurring no additional cost. Legal, accountant and banking functions are GSCO Canada-specific and will be centered in Calgary. Beyond these basic costs, all money coming into GSCO Canada will be directed to activities involving conservation, research and ungulate enhancement as decided upon by the board.
