On May 8, 2026, Grand Slam Club/Ovis was proud to once again stand alongside Safari Club International in support of one of the most important aspects of our shared mission, protecting the future of hunting through effective advocacy.

During the Safari Club International Presidents Dinner in Washington, D.C., GSCO Executive Director Jason Price presented a $150,000 contribution to Safari Club International President Jeff Meyerl in support of SCI’s ongoing hunter advocacy efforts.  This contribution follows GSCO’s previous advocacy investments of $125,000 in 2025 and $90,000 in 2024, bringing the organization’s total support for hunter advocacy to $365,000 over the past three years.

While GSCO and SCI each have distinct missions and priorities, both organizations recognize that the future of hunting depends on a unified conservation community.  Protecting hunters’ rights, promoting science-based wildlife management, defending sustainable use, and preserving our hunting heritage require collaboration among organizations that share these fundamental values.

Advocacy is an essential pillar of modern conservation.  The wildlife we pursue and the opportunities we enjoy are influenced not only by sound wildlife management in the field, but also by legislative decisions, regulatory policies, and public perception.  By working together, conservation organizations are better equipped to address these challenges and ensure that the voices of hunters and conservationists are effectively represented.

These contributions are made possible because of the continued support of GSCO’s members.  Every membership, convention registration, auction purchase, donation, and volunteer effort strengthens our ability to invest in initiatives that benefit the entire hunting and conservation community.

GSCO is honored to support Safari Club International’s advocacy efforts and remains committed to building strong partnerships that advance conservation, protect hunting opportunities, and preserve our shared heritage for future generations.
