GSCO Membership Elects Deron Millman to the Board of Directors

Birmingham, AL – June 2026 — GSCO Executive Director Jason Price today announced that the GSCO membership has elected Deron Millman of Ohio to serve a three-year term on the GSCO Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2026.

“I am pleased to report that the GSCO membership has selected Deron Millman to serve on the GSCO Board of Directors,” said Price.  “This year’s election featured three outstanding candidates, each bringing unique experiences, perspectives, and a genuine desire to serve GSCO. On behalf of our entire organization, I would like to thank each candidate for their willingness to step forward and contribute to the future of GSCO.

“Deron brings a unique combination of business experience, international hunting knowledge, and a lifelong commitment to conservation.  His passion for mountain hunting, extensive experience in Asia, and understanding of both the outfitting and hunter perspectives will provide valuable insight as GSCO continues to grow and expand its conservation and advocacy efforts worldwide.  I look forward to working alongside him in the years ahead.”

An Ohio native, Deron has been married to his wife, Suzie, for nearly 37 years.  Together they have twins, Tony and Taylor, and a granddaughter, Bailey.  He built and operated a successful land surveying company for 27 years before selling the business and retiring from the profession in 2023.

In addition to his surveying career, Deron owned and operated an international hunting consulting business specializing in Asian mountain hunting for more than a decade.  His hunting pursuits have taken him across six continents and more than 50 countries, where he has harvested over 390 free-range big game species on license.  Deron is widely recognized for his lifetime achievements in hunting, conservation, and international mountain hunting.  His extensive experience includes more than 40 hunting expeditions throughout Asia and the harvest of 71 different Asian species.

Deron has long been a supporter of wildlife conservation and believes strongly in the role ethical hunting plays in funding and sustaining conservation efforts around the world.  He has expressed a deep appreciation for GSCO’s mission and looks forward to helping advance the organization’s conservation, advocacy, and membership initiatives.

Please join us in congratulating Deron Millman on his election to the GSCO Board of Directors and in thanking all of the candidates who participated in this year’s election process.  Their willingness to serve reflects the strength of GSCO’s membership and the bright future of our organization.

Sincerely,

Jason Price
